Trades marketing agencies in Manchester and the North West: who serves the area
The North West has a genuine cluster of trades-focused agencies: a Liverpool web and social team, a Manchester fixed-price website builder and a Lancashire Google Ads platform. Add two agencies that serve the region from elsewhere and you have five quite different ways to spend the same budget. This guide separates them by what you actually get.
What the North West market looks like
Three of the five agencies here are physically in the region. Digital 4 Trades is at Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool, Websites for Tradespeople is in Manchester and Get Work is in Lytham St Annes. Riley Marketing is based in the North East and covers the North West as part of its UK-wide service. Local Leads Accelerator does not state a base but publishes a Manchester case study.
The useful thing about this list is that it spans the full range of models. One agency sells you a website you own outright for a few hundred pounds. One sells a complete monthly system. One runs Google Ads through its own platform. Which one fits depends on whether your problem is credibility, visibility or volume.
We assessed each on published pricing, who owns the assets, named trades and published proof, and we note where a detail is simply not available.
1. Digital 4 Trades
Best for: North West tradespeople who want a personal, local web and social agency without a rental contract
Digital 4 Trades works from Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool (a DesignRush listing also gives Frodsham, Cheshire). It is a small in-house team offering website design, logo and brand design, SEO, social media management, lead generation and Google Ads, with the message 'you stay on the tools, we do the marketing'.
Its contract position is a selling point: no lock-in rental deals and a stated refusal to hold a website hostage. Sites are bought outright or paid over about a year, and content management is priced from a couple of hundred pounds a month. Trades named include electricians, plumbers, roofers, joiners, locksmiths, heating engineers, garden services and groundworkers.
Case studies cover a roofing firm and a taxi firm, with a portfolio spanning joinery, locksmiths, groundworks and heating.
2. Riley Marketing
Best for: Small North West firms that want the full foundation built before they pay, on a fixed monthly fee
Riley Marketing is a North East agency serving the North West and the rest of the UK. For £149 a month at the time of writing it provides a foundational growth system: an SEO-focused website with service and location pages, Google Business Profile optimisation, Google review automation that also reactivates past customers, missed call text back, and a CRM with lead status tracking and branded quote pages on the client's own domain.
What sets the terms apart is sequencing. The system is built up front before the client pays, with unlimited revisions, no setup fee and the right to cancel at any time. A Stockport plasterer or a Preston heating engineer can see the finished site before a penny changes hands.
Founder Tom Riley, who deals with clients directly, has ten years in search and lead generation, previously led organic growth at an insurtech and has built and run his own lead generation websites. Published builds include Anglia Decor, an industrial painting and roofing contractor, and SET Building & Brickwork, an Essex builder. Trades covered run from electricians and plumbers to roofers, decorators, landscapers and kitchen fitters, with Google Ads, Meta ads and local SEO as add-ons.
3. Websites for Tradespeople (JW Digital Services Ltd)
Best for: Budget-conscious tradespeople who want to own a clean, fixed-price website with no lock-in
Websites for Tradespeople is a Manchester business founded in 2023 by Janusz Wozniak. It builds phone-first trade websites with accreditations shown up front, gives one fixed price in writing and hands the client full ownership of the site and domain. Hosting and care plans are optional and cancellable monthly, and a monthly SEO service is available.
Published package prices are Starter from £295, Essentials from £595 and Business from £995 including VAT, with an optional 12 interest-free instalments. It also offers a pay-monthly self-run website builder and free quote, tax and materials calculators. Named trades include plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, landscapers, carpenters, handymen, painters and decorators, plasterers, tilers and locksmiths.
Live client sites are showcased for a plumbing and heating firm, a groundworks firm and a landscaper.
4. Get Work
Best for: Tradespeople who want Google Ads leads delivered through a managed platform
Get Work is based in Lytham St Annes in Lancashire and is a Google Partner. It builds a custom landing page and Google Ads funnel for each tradesperson, sends text notifications for new leads and provides a lead management and job booking platform with a spend and job-value dashboard. It says its pages convert far better than typical home improvement sites and that leads are exclusive, and it works with trade associations.
Trades served are wide: roofing, building, landscaping, driveways, plastering and rendering, electrical, decorating, joinery, plumbing and heating, loft conversions, kitchen and bathroom fitting, tree surgery and fencing. One case study publishes first-month revenue and return for a roofing company. Pricing sits on a separate page and is not shown on the homepage.
5. Local Leads Accelerator
Best for: Electricians and small trades wanting map pack visibility and missed-call automation in one programme
Local Leads Accelerator does not state a UK base but has published case studies in Manchester and Kent. It sells a 12-week programme combining local SEO and map pack work, Google Local Services Ads, conversion-focused websites, missed-call text back and automated follow-up, and lead tracking. Its measure is cost per booked job, under the line 'clicks don't pay the bills, jobs do'.
Electricians are the primary trade, alongside joinery and carpentry, cleaning, waste removal and exterior services. Before-and-after ranking results are published for a cleaning business and a carpentry business. No pricing is published.

Which to choose
A tradesperson with no website and a tight budget has two sensible routes. Pay once for a site you own with Websites for Tradespeople, or pay £149 a month to Riley Marketing and get the site plus the Google profile, reviews, missed-call text back and quote pages. The one-off route is cheaper over two years if you never need anything else; the system route does more of the work for you. Our piece on the difference between an agency and a freelancer is relevant here too.
A trade with a decent website and a visibility problem should talk to Local Leads Accelerator if they are an electrician, or Digital 4 Trades for SEO and social from a local team.
A trade that wants volume now and can fund ad spend should look at Get Work. Read agency onboarding: what to expect first so you know what a platform-based agency will need from you. For neighbouring areas see the North East and Yorkshire guide and the Midlands guide, and the buyer's guide to UK trades marketing agencies sets out the criteria in full.
Frequently asked questions
Which North West agencies let me own my website outright?
Websites for Tradespeople sells fixed-price sites that the client owns along with the domain. Digital 4 Trades also sells sites outright or paid over about a year rather than renting them.
Is £149 a month good value compared with a one-off website?
It depends on what you use. A one-off site at £295 to £995 is cheaper if you only want a website. The £149 fee covers the site plus Google Business Profile work, review automation, missed-call text back and a CRM, which would otherwise be separate purchases.
Do any of these agencies guarantee leads?
None of the five publishes a lead guarantee. Get Work and Local Leads Accelerator measure results in jobs and revenue, but the figures shown are case studies, not promises.
Do I need an agency based in Manchester?
Not for the work itself. Three of the five here are in the region and two serve it remotely, and the remote ones deliver the same kind of websites, profiles and ads.
